Description :

Client is currently seeking an Ektron .Net Developer specializing in .NET applications.
The ideal candidate will be a productive, hands-on and very skilled, experienced, capable, and creative ASP.NET web developer intimately familiar with creating/managing sites using the Ektron CMS systems. The candidate must be familiar with all aspects of ASP.NET web site development / deployment / management, from managing creative creation to the management of backend databases. The candidate must have a strong understanding of client and server-side scripting and feel comfortable participating in the development / deployment at any / all levels.
Requirements
Minimum 6+ months experience with Ektron 8.0 or recent experience with 8.5 is a BIG PLUS
3 to 5 years software development experience
Must have a solid understand of software development life cycle - project management experience considered an asset
Experience using Microsoft technologies including; .NET framework, ASP. NET, VB. NET, ADO.NET, C#, XML, and SQL Server.
Recent experience with Visual Studio .NET (2003 or higher) and JavaScript using IE and Firefox Browsers.
Knowledge of structure and operation of Microsoft Internet Information Server (6.0 and higher), Windows 2003 Application Server, Microsoft SQL Server 2005 (or higher)
2+ years of hands-on experience in relational database design and development, preferable SQL Server 2005: Creating tables, views, complex stored procedures, functions
XML Data and Web applications development experience using: VS.NET, XSLT, Object Oriented Design/OOP, VB.NET
Strong analytical skills for technical problem solving and experience in supporting production applications.
Ability to troubleshoot very complex problems that will include many possible technologies: .NET, ASP.NET, SQL 2005, Classic ASP. This includes thorough research of the issue, documenting what is found, how it is fixed, and root-cause analysis to prevent future issues.
Excellent communication and organizational skills
BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
Previous experience working directly with both technical and non-technical clients a plus
