Description Of Work:

The Idaho Department of Labor is implementing SharePoint 2010 as the company intranet. The department currently has a SharePoint 2007 site collection and proprietary intranet applications for its other internal websites. This project involves implementing SharePoint 2010 and converting the existing intranet content.

The candidate will act as the SharePoint 2010 subject matter expert who will review and advise on the implementation plans. The candidate will also assist in designing and configuring the SharePoint 2010 server farm.

This will not be a full-time position. The candidate will be engaged at different times during the project, as needed, to assist in planning and configuring the SharePoint 2010 environment.

It is important that the candidate have experience implementing SharePoint 2010 in a medium to large organization. Experience with only SharePoint 2007 will not meet our requirements.

Expected Deliverables:

• Work with the project team as a subject matter expert on implementing SharePoint 2010
• Evaluate the current intranet environment and provide expertise in content structure design and system configuration required for SharePoint 2010 infrastructure
• Provide real-world expertise and best practices from lessons learned in previous SharePoint 2010 implementations
• Experience with multiple implementations of SharePoint 2010 in medium or large organizations
• Experience migrating SharePoint 2007 content to SharePoint 2010
• Experience in designing and configuring SharePoint 2010 farm infrastructure
• Expertise in defining site structure and organization of multi-level sites and content
• Experience implementing search, including developing taxonomies and ontologies
• Planning and configuring security
