Description:


Broad content of Role:



· Based in New York, within the Connectivity -Direct Market Access, Algorithm, Equity Cash & WATS (Wells Fargo Automated Trading) Desks.

· Responsible for FIX Certification: Equities & Algorithms



Key Requirements:



· Minimum 3 years experience FIX connectivity including a working knowledge of the following FIX workflows: single orders, program trading, baskets/lists, executions, allocations, IOI.

· Understanding of basic Equity trading workflow;

· Solid understanding of OMS environment maintenance for FIX testing and issue reproduction: FIX Engine configuration, TCP/IP routing and Unix O/S

· The ideal candidate will also have some experience in SQL, and scripting languages Unix shells Csh, bash and Korn

· Ability to communicate confidently and concisely using business acumen

· Ability to create and maintain strong working relationships both with customers and internally

· Knowledge of Flextrade (OMS) -Configuring inbound and outbound connections. The ability to read code, implement and recommend changes.

· Calmness under pressure and ability to maintain good humor, particularly in the face of adversity



Duties and Responsibilities:



· Integrate FIX counterparties through the Standard FIX Certification process to ensure the timely and high quality delivery of requirements

· Provide clearly written Certification outcomes to our implementation consultants

· Maintenance of documents supporting structured FIX Certification and on boarding process.

· Management leadership and quality oversight of in-house and out-sourced FIX certification team.

· Work with the FIX development team on upgrades and enhancements

· Work with Production Support and external Clients on 2nd and 3rd level production support

· Review FIX messages translate to troubleshoot issues

· Reproduction of issues

· Testing that fixes resolve issues on client environments

· Some out of hours work may be required
