SUMMARY FUNCTION Formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop and modify moderately complex information systems. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Formulates and defines system scope and objectives based on user needs. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time and form of desired results. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Designs programs and performs coding, testing, debugging and documentation. Analyzes and revises existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary. Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications systems analysis activities. Must understand basic Information Technology (IT) architectural/infrastructural concepts. May use CASE tools. Must be able to prepare information for project presentations. May act as a Team Lead.
