Format the data into useable and readily accessible structure. • Perform Windows systems intake technical review and overall assessments of customer systems. • Evaluate and document existing customer Windows environments. • Create technical schematics which illustrate Windows systems environments and operations. • Provide architectural assessments and recommendations regarding Windows systems readiness for virtualization and migration. • Perform Microsoft Baseline Analyzer scans on Windows systems. • Provide analysis and recommendations of the Microsoft Baseline Analyzer scan results. • Determine security profiles of Windows systems. Work with the security office to determine security requirements. • Perform virtualization and encryption of Windows systems in preparation of network migrations. • Lead systems migration jobs resulting in the successful migration customer Windows systems from the customer data centers over a wide area network to the ITD data center. • Provide systems diagnostics, trouble shooting, and hands on remediation actions as may be required. • Perform Windows system administrator maintenance tasks to optimize systems performance. • Monitor the technical performance of Windows systems. • Create and provide on-going Windows systems performance metrics as required. • Receive and manage incident tickets pertaining to Windows systems. • Provide timely recovery actions as needed in order to meet or exceed service level agreements. • Perform asset management tasks as needed on Windows systems • Lead troubleshooting and recovery effort in efforts in a coordinated team environment. • Provide options and status to management team. • Resolve issues, or assignments in an agreed upon timely manner. • Propose enterprise-wide Windows and VMware solutions. • Provide infrastructure services to the Windows OS community pertaining to Symantic Anti-Virus, Windows Software Update Server, and IBM Director. • Maintain system patching levels to an N-1 level for any firmware, microcode, BIOS, drivers, security and other OS related software. • Create and/or maintain current documentation for environments supported. • Provide off-hours ITD administrator support when requested or scheduled. Carry the on-call pager / cell phone during assigned support time frames. • Assist management in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and reduction of operational costs. Qualification: • Senior Windows Administrator. Experience with with large scale data center consolidation a plus. • Possess expert technical knowledge of maintaining and supporting Windows systems. • Possess expert knowledge of the latest Microsoft security process and procedures pertaining to Windows systems. • Possess a solid understanding of network systems architecture and design. • Possess the professional ability, skill, and motivation needed to initiate and maintain all aspects of administrator support on 75 to 100 Microsoft Windows systems. • Has successfully completed five (5) to seven (7 ) years of progressive Microsoft Windows administrator duties and responsibilities.
