Description:

Introduction:
St. Charles Community College (SCC) is a public, comprehensive two-year community college located in St. Charles County, Missouri, and is approximately 30 miles west of the city of St. Louis, Missouri. Its primary campus is located in Cottleville, MO with a Nursing & Allied Health Program located in Dardenne Prairie, MO. Established in 1986, SCC services six (6) counties within Missouri, including: St. Charles, Pike, Lincoln, Montgomery, Callaway and Warren counties. The credit student enrollment for Fall 2019 was 6,438 credit students with an equivalent of 4,327 Full Time Equivalent (FTE) students.

Objective:
SCC is requesting proposals from qualified contractors to provide on-site information technology staff augmentation services. The College is seeking a Desktop/Applications Administrator and a Systems Architect. Work will be performed at the Cottleville campus with the understanding that, if needed, work may be performed at other campus locations.

POSITION: DESKTOP/APPLICATIONS ADMINISTRATOR

SCOPE OF SERVICES: Fulfill the operational needs of the College by performing network computing tasks as it pertains to the desktop/applications administrator position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Administer the campus PC network by developing software and Operating System rollouts for SCC computers; testing new software applications before implementation; providing automation for OS and application patches to the PC network by creating scripts and programs to perform specific tasks and other duties as specified
• Provide and develop standardized software packages and operating systems used on the computer network to fulfill the various software needs of the College
• Update and modify packages supplied by vendors, or created in house via System Center Configuration Manager, JAMF Casper Suite for MAC, PowerShell scripts and other scripting languages
• Configure and develop automated software update process and procedures, software rollouts, Microsoft service pack implementations and OS patches through the use of Microsoft Windows Server Update Services, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager, self-developed scripts or programs, as well as other means.
• Documentation of current procedures developed from testing packages, testing operating systems and environment variables. In the event documentation has not been created, training is done in person, over the phone with or without the use of remote assistance or via e-mail
• Perform troubleshooting, research and diagnosis of production problems; correct problems for all computers
• Develop and write procedures for installation and proper use of hardware and software, as well as troubleshooting guides pertaining to those installations
• Close escalated Help Desk tickets
• Support Tier II technicians when necessary

POSITION: SYSTEMS ARCHITECT

SCOPE OF SERVICES: Fulfill the operational needs of the College by performing network computing tasks as it pertains to the Systems Architect position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for day-to-day operations of the administrative and student services Windows domain servers, as well as support for the SANs
• Provides Administration support for servers, SANs and operating systems which includes Windows server OSs as well as some Linux instances including systems present at the satellite campus
