These components are accessed from an MIS Intranet Reporting site, a web-based custom application. Our client intends to eliminate this custom application as part of the scope of the upcoming project to upgrade PeopleSoft Financials from version 8.4 to 9.1. The PeopleSoft Financials Functional Lead will be responsible for conducting a Fit/Gap analysis of inquiries and reports currently available in MIS Intranet Reporting and compare that to delivered “out-of-the-box” functionality in PeopleSoft Financials version 9.1. The expected deliverable is a fit/gap analysis report, which includes specifications, that identifies the following: The inquiries and reports that are no longer needed by the end users and therefore can be eliminated The inquiries or reports that can be replaced by using out-of-the-box PeopleSoft Financials 9.1 functionality If it is determined that the information provided by existing inquiries and reports are needed, provide various alternatives for the best solution for redevelopment, either within PS Financials 9.1 or outside of PS Financials. (Possible alternatives might be a third party bolt on solution or in-house re-development.) For each inquiry or report that will be re-developed, the consultant will deliver a document that contains a mockup of the new inquiry or report created in MS Excel and detailed specifications describing: Who uses the inquiry or report and how often The module(s) the inquiry or report information is derived from The record(s) and data elements included in the inquiry or report The format, selection criteria and data sort order for each inquiry or report The formulas for any calculations or summaries contained in the inquiry or report Required PeopleSoft Experience Minimum of five years current, hands-on PeopleSoft Financials 9.x functional lead experience Solid understanding and work experience in the following PeopleSoft Financial modules: General Ledger, Project Costing, Asset Management, Receivables, Billing, Payables and Purchasing. Minimum 2 full PeopleSoft 9.x implementations or upgrade experience Functional Analysis of reporting is required Leadership Skills: Politically savvy and will be able to clearly and concisely communicate their skills and experience. Excellent written and verbal communication and facilitation skills, proven problem solving and decision making skills, and the ability to work well with diverse stakeholder groups. Comfortable working on their own with business partners and technical resources.
