DESCRIPTION: The Chief Data Office role was recently created to capitalize upon Wells Fargos significant investment in data and analytics over the past several years. Central to the role is the Enterprise Data and Analytics team (EDA), which brought together the largest data warehouse and data & analytics groups from areas across the Wells Fargo enterprise three years go. The team provides critical data technology to every business line. Combining these significant groups was identified by the Operating Committee of Wells Fargo as key to driving new levels of competitive advantage for Wells Fargo including increasing revenue, improving the customer experience, improving efficiency and lowering risk. The VMS (Volcker Metrics System) and FIRMs (Fund Investment Reporting and Monitoring system) are enterprise solutions that address the reporting and recordkeeping requirements outlined in the Volcker Rule as applicable to Wells Fargo & Companys trading and investment activities. This Lead Developer will work directly with business and technology partners to design, develop, test and implement application ETL in support of these systems, and in partnership with other enterprise Corporate Risk initiatives. Enterprise Data & Analytics (EDA) organization is looking candidates that will serve as a Lead Developer supporting the VMS and FIRMs applications. He/she will establish and maintain exceptional working relationships with the broader business, technology and application management communities to accomplish our goals. Provides design and development support for analytical systems and data integration applications • Analyzes highly complex business requirements, designs and writes technical specifications to design or redesign complex computer platforms and applications. • Design, development, test, and implement application ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) code • Follow all software development lifecycle processes and standards • Develops new documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guides • Follow change and incident management processes • Propose creative solutions to meet technical and business priorities • Provide guidance to other team members and contractors as required • Contribute significantly to the technical direction of the analytical systems environment • Participate in design reviews and ensure application of best practices and standards • Review ETL code for consistency, quality and performance • Implement best practices for test environments • Propose and build reusable patterns. Participate in cross application efforts to share knowledge and bring new developments to the team. • Track code merge and branching process for releases. • Review release code and changes for production.
