You will be responsible for development of all stages of the interface component design from conception through to execution. Important responsibilities include applying features to the user interface and implementing mock-up wire frames by UX designers as components. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication skills and can develop reusable, efficient, and scalable code. This position will be a part of the System Integration team of DHHS and contribute to DHHS IT program objectives while promoting and supporting enterprise reuse of components. The developer will also contribute to integrating with front-end application with third party APIs for authentication and other APIs for supporting the integration. The ability to communicate with technical team members, business users, and management is required. Specific Activities and Duties: The Senior UI Application Developer will be responsible for the following: Performs development of the client registration and maintenance application. As a member of the team, participate in requirements analysis, high-level and detailed design, development, testing and deployment of new application components, as required. Develop and debug application code Use application development tools and utilities as appropriate Conduct unit, integration, and customer acceptance testing Work with other teams as necessary to accomplish goals. Create technical and design documentation, as required. Required Credentials and Experience: 5+ years of Hands-on programming experience in following languages: Java, J2EE, HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery, React.JS, AJAX, CSS3, Bootstrap, Angular, Typescript, Spring, Java Server Pages, JSON, XML, Maven and/or other UI frameworks / libraries. 3+ years of Experience implementing Client-facing applications with responsive design and development 3 + years of Hands-on experience with Agile Development Methodologies (preferably Scrum) 3+ Years of Hands-on experience with CI/CD methodologies 3+ years of experience working with relational databases. Ability to write SQL queries and debug database related issues in Java applications. 2+ Experience in developing micro-services, using Spring Boot or equivalent frameworks Preferred Credentials and Experience: Relevant certifications and training Experience in writing and documenting REST APIs using the Open API (Swagger) specification. Education: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in computer science , computer information systems, engineering, or management information systems is required. Strong oral and written communication skills.
