Web Solutions (SharePoint) Programmer Analyst Description - As a Web Solutions (SharePoint) Programmer Analyst, you will be responsible for creating high-quality technical and architectural designs that meet business needs, promote development simplification and code reuse, and leverage available functionality where possible. This individual will also be responsible for ensuring that the functionality of applications remain fit for purpose and maintain the highest possible service levels. Web Solutions (SharePoint) Programmer Analysts are responsible for creating system test scripts to verify that the new integrated system is robust, meets business needs, and is developed in accordance with corporate directives. They will also be responsible for evaluating new tools and third-party applications, and providing recommendations to management regarding their usefulness. This individual will also be expected to mentor less experienced team members. Some essential functions of this position include: - Interpret functional requirements, create technical design, implement the necessary technology to fulfill requirements, and perform unit testing - Analyze existing application interfaces, schemas and data needs - Serve as the primary technical lead for projects and requests - Lead and drive team members to develop all projects and requests to exceed industry best practices - Lead and participate in code and design reviews - Provide support and assistance as necessary during the system integration and user acceptance test phases - Provides post-production support as necessary - Evaluates third-party products for integration into the enterprise in lieu of making code changes to standard applications - Evaluates new tools for incorporation into the development process Qualifications - External - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related study and 6+ years of applicable work experience; or 8+ years of applicable work experience - A minimum of 5 years experience in SharePoint development - A minimum of 5 years experience and full understanding of SharePoint 2007 and 2010 functionality and capabilities. - Experience in designing, documenting, developing, and testing high performing SharePoint based applications using the latest techniques such as AJAX, Silverlight, and REST - Expertise in developing bug-free, standards based code using industry best practices built on the SharePoint platform - Ability to create architecture and design documents based on UML standards - Competent with common SharePoint administration tasks - Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 and 2010 and other Microsoft SharePoint related tools, e.g. SharePoint Designer (2007 & 2010), InfoPath (2007 or 2010), Visio 2010, and MS Project 2010 - Experience developing SharePoint 2007 and 2010 workflows, web parts, timer jobs, custom actions, event handlers, feature receivers, master pages, and page layouts - Experience with ASP.NET, JavaScript, CSS, XSLT, XML, WCF, Web Services, and the .NET Framework a must - Experience with SQL Server database design and development a must with Oracle DB design and development a plus - Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services report design and development in SharePoint integrated mode a plus - Must possess a strong understanding of common architecture principles such as SOA, Layered Application Design, and patterns and practices - Professional c   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
