Description :

Conducts business process analyses, needs assessments, and preliminary cost/benefit analyses in
an effort to align information technology (IT) solutions with business initiatives. Prepares functional,
system, and program specifications. Holds a higher level of technical skills and application in their
work, variation in activities, longer-term work, latitude to apply skills to solve routine problems
without review, and some latitude to devise the approach and method to performing assignments.
Performs routine work without supervision, seeking assistance when guidelines are inadequate,
significant deviations are proposed, or when unanticipated problems arise.
The Process Improvement Specialist will assist with the design, development, implementation,
maintenance and project management of business process workflows using the Business Process
Management (BPM) Workflow System. In support of the Universitys strategic initiative of Digital
Transformation, this position will work collaboratively with business and academic units throughout the
University to simplify and automate the flow of tasks and activities to reduce manual intervention,
processing time, errors, as well as improve documentation and compliance.
