The testing eco-system would support web / application (.net primarily), API, and data / ETL (SQL Server, Oracle, Informatica, SSIS) automated testing scenarios. This would entail test automation strategy and architecture, test framework selection, design and build out, TDM selection and inclusion, technical test leadership, test planning for strategic/complex test automation initiatives, and test environment (i.e. testing grids, containers, etc.) strategy needs. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to… Plays a leadership and implementation role in the design, development, and implementation of testing automation and test data management components. Expertise in leading testing automation frameworks, their customizations, and TDM toolings is mandatory Knowledge of scripting (various types, C# (preferred), powershell, shell), and CI / CD. Must be an architect that is technology fluent (OS (windows, linux), network, firewalls) and can script / code as well. Mentors testing staff in testing automation processes and best practices as well as participating in various evaluations Thought leadership as well as relative to audit controls and traceabilities Facilitates review of applications and processes for automation needs and readiness. Provides consultation to projects and application support groups regarding automation design, development and execution. Manages testing vendor interactions and evaluations. Post execution of the testing automation eco-system, the individual would turn their focus to a variety of other testing automation scenarios (load, performance, security, SIT, UAT, etc.). Knowledge of testing automation within a DevOps context a huge plus Fluent in any SDLC innovative approaches (i.e. model based requirements, AI, ML) that would help modernize the testing approach, a plus Knowledge of Bamboo, JIRA, Delphix, containers, cloud and virtualization opportunities as well as “infrastructure as code” opportunities for the testing environment, would be a plus Understands organizational impacts and trade-offs of automation processes. Requires BA/BS in Computer Science or Information Systems; 7+ years of testing automation experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
