Detailed Description: This role requires proficiency in test automation tools, functional testing, regression testing, integration testing and understanding of TDD and ATDD. The Automation Developer must have the ability to translate functional User Stories into quality automated test cases. To be successful the candidate must be driven and well-organized, with strong learning and training abilities. It is essential for the individual to be self-motivated and tenacious, thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, and complete tasks to agreed schedules. This resource must also have a solid background and understanding of industry standard automation and manual testing, quality assurance methodologies and automation solutions. The Scrum Team will look to this individual to assist in software releases on an on-going basis and coordinate the tasks and activities of the broader testing team. Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for the planning, integration, test casing, scripting and execution of all testing to ensure proper coverage. Schedules and leads test deliverables review sessions as necessary. Work on multiple projects/systems as a project team member and are considered to be a subject matter expert for a single project/system. These projects are of moderate to high complexity within one or more development environments Collaborates with the Business, BSA and Development teams in the analysis, review and translation of User Stories to ensure testability, coverage, and to create and execute test cases for large business initiatives. Automate these test cases, and execute on regular basis. Create and maintain test cases and test data using test automation tools. Actively participate in the review of architectural and technical design specifications. Write, review, and maintain the automation test scripts in RubyMine and other automation tools. Works with the scrum team on defect analysis and triage. Identifies any potential quality issues per defined processes and escalates potential quality issues immediately to management Assigns defect severity, and manages defects throughout the sprint. Perform all aspects of verification, including integration testing, functional testing, and regression testing. Develop and implement well-defined test automation framework. Creates test status reports from the automation runs via azure. Creates test results and test summary deliverables to ensure production implementation readiness Identifies any potential quality issues per defined processes and escalates potential quality issues immediately to management Collects testing sign-off from all testing participants, including cross-impacted application teams Collaborates with Test Lead on estimating the test efforts Participate in production validation and support as needed. Comply with Huntingtons standards of the SDLC, and adhere to testing strategies & procedures within the industry standard. Collaborate with the delivery organization to ensure maximize efficiency in the use of software delivery tools and processes. Actively participate in product design discussions to gain deeper understanding of the systems being created and modified. Analyze metrics and identify opportunities for corrective action.
