This includes technical oversight of deployment of our Enterprise Service platform (Digital MLs Ignite), our API and Microservice Management platform (Google Apigee) and their integration through our CI-CD pipeline based on Jenkins and Maven. This person also plays the critical role of helping our BIO sponsors analyze their service inventories for refactoring onto our new API Management platform, mapping API behaviors to execution policies, and managing requirements and design of new policy artifacts to support future requirements. While this is not a development role, it is expected that the Senior API Architect can drop into code to provide demonstrations or reference artifacts that can be further refined by our development team. In this respect, it is a hands-on role -- if you do not want to write code, this is not the job for you. The Senior API Architect will work closely with our Senior API Program Manager to be a technical ambassador for the platform to all of the company and help cultivate strong relationships with BIO users of this critical Shared Technical Service. This is a high-visibility role within IT and the Senior API Architect must be comfortable presenting on technical topics to internal stakeholders. Required Qualifications Preferred: Masters degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, CIS, or related field. Extensive work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above). Proven experience architecting, designing, and implementing enterprise-scale, high volume, high availability API Management programs and platforms. Deep understanding of API design, HTTP specification, REST, JSON, XML, Open API Deep, hands-on expertise in Javascript, TLS, certificates, keystore and truststore, OAuth Understanding of API testing (e.g. TDD) and modern CI-CD pipeline architectures for API delivery, Jenkins, Maven Experience developing production API Proxies with Googles Apigee Edge platform (Apigee Certified Professional strongly preferred) Experience managing service and API metadata with Digital MLs Ignite or other registry solution Familiarity with OOP and GOF Design Patterns Familiarity with Scrum or similar agile practices Superior communication and listening skills Ability to distill complex requirements   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
