The group primarily supporting TPS cherry picked some of Anthonys team members. He has a lot of work and not enough bodies to complete what they need to do. He is short people because they last candidate they selected for his last role (IIB Developer) was a bait and switch. He mentioned multiple times he needs someone who can communicate well with team. Day to Day Responsibilities/typical day look like: Developing indexes inside ELK and incorporating new technologies (elastic search) Some development REST/ SOAP services Daily agile stand up meetings- all ceremonies within Agile Selling Points for Candidates: Perks? DevOps Tools (Docker, kubernetes, Git, JIRA, Jenkins, bamboo) IIB Agile experience Insert Client Job Description Below: Middleware Developer with a strong focus in utilizing modern toolsets such as ElasticSearch, Apigee, Kafka/Fuse, Spark, Kubernetes and Docker. Primary responsibilities include: Managing of an on premise ELK stack (ElasticSearch, Logstash and Kibana) clusters. Create and understand indexes and index templates. Optimizing indices based on application needs. Tuning ingest patterns using logstash, filebeats, Kafka, Spark. JVM tuning for performance and memory management Developing Web services (RESTful, SOAP) using best practices in design, patterns and standards Experience with API Gateway and Management platforms such as MuleSoft or Apigee Prior experience with Elastic Cloud or AWS ElasticSearch as a Service is a plus Experience working with containers (Kubernetes, Docker) Experience working with DevOps tools (Git, JIRA, and Jenkins) Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD) Ability to work within an agile integration development team Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills with clear communication (both orally and written) QUAL Notes: This is a backfill for the IIB position, but looking for a different tech stack. Other guy didnt work out and they think thats a different guy then they interviewed. This is going to be a 12 month contract and requires someone to be onsite with clear communication (unlike the last guy) Day to Day: They will be doing everything ELK. They are using all the new technologies (elastic). May have to do some Developing for Rest services Work in an Agile environment so will be doing daily standups.
