SharePoint Developer

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION

As a SharePoint Developer, you will be part of the team designing and developing web applications and web services for Microsoft SharePoint technologies. You will work closely with the customer to understand their environment and provide the best customized technical solution. We are seeking a highly accomplished, creative and self-motivated individual who enjoys working within a dynamic growth-oriented environment. Our team will be responsible for development and deployment of new and existing SharePoint technologies, which will involve migrating legacy systems and developing new applications. As the SharePoint Developer, you will provide customized capabilities inside a SharePoint environment. You will be responsible for designing, testing and integration of new capabilities within our various customer SharePoint environments. The successful teammate will be skilled in interfacing with client managers and system users that have varying knowledge and experience and designing the right technical solution.



LEVEL OF EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE OR SKILL SET
o Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
o Microsoft Certification desired but not required
o Minimum of 7 years of experience in full software lifecycle development from requirements capture through post deployment support
o Minimum of 3 years development experience using SharePoint, SharePoint Designer and InfoPath. Specific experience with migrations into SharePoint from other portal platforms and/or data repositories.
o Solid understanding and experience with the suite of Microsoft development architectures: ASP.NET, C++, C#, AJAX, Web Services, Silverlight, SQL Server, UML, XML.
o Development experience with the Microsoft suite of development applications, including Visual Studio and Team System.
o Experience using MS SQL Server 2005/2008 (T-SQL, tables, indexes, stored procedures)
o Must be highly proficient in ASP.Net 3.5, with experience in building Web Parts.
o User interface design using HTML, XHTML and JavaScript/JSON and JQuery.
o Experience participating in development efforts using Rational Unified Process (RUP) and Agile System Development Lifecycle (SDLC)


MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY

o Proven technical ability in supporting the conversion of legacy web applications into SharePoint application providing data warehousing using SQL Server with Business Connectivity Services (BCS) to legacy database systems, building master pages and custom database interfaces.
o Provide SharePoint technical support in systems level design, implementation and operation of highly complex Data Warehousing for data tracking, document tasking, associated reporting , data analysis , and display of complex dashboards for project level managers.
o Highly skilled and proficient in systems architectural design and development of complex SharePoint web applications. Design the end solution to exploit the full capabilities of SharePoint
o Assures that programming standards are in compliance with industry best practices. Also assures that new end-user requirements, problem reporting and resolution are effectively, controlled and disseminated.
o Provide engineering level documentation for code modules and database schemas including use cases, configuration instructions, and models for both technical and non-technical audiences. Reviews specifications, provides time estimates, and prioritiz
