ASPX SQL CSS HTML C# Developer (Jobs in Norfolk, VA)   Requirement id 5634 Job title Developer Job location in Norfolk, VA Skills required ASPX, JavaScript, SQL Server, CSS HTML C# Open Date 27-Jul-2011 Close Date Job type Contract Duration 2 Months Compensation DOE Status requirement --- Job interview type Phone Screening    Email Recruiter: coolsoft Job Description Developer: ASPX, JavaScript, SQL Server, CSS HTML C# Responsibilities o Perform back-end ASPX and JavaScript software development, interfacing with Microsoft SQL Server, for existing web application that will be delivered to hundreds of markets in 2011. o Integrate applications with other third party web applications such as web analytics and merchant payment clearing. o Team with front-end developers to integrate CSS/HTML and other front-end components. o Interface with product manager and other stakeholders to ensure requirements. o Develop solutions and applications that scale across 100 unique markets and web sites in a multisite hosting architecture. o Develop to standards to ensure quality control, application performance, functionality, and other industry best practices. o Debug applications as needed. o Utilize bug and enhancement tracking software and processes o Use version control systems effectively. o Develop advanced fully functional browser based products across the popular versions of Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari. This includes understanding the capabilities and limitations of the supported browsers and the impact on products from a functionality, performance, security, and privacy perspective. Must be able to evaluate the impact of planned browser releases on products through evaluation of beta and release documentation. o Elegantly tie pieces together to meet business needs while maintaining performance and not introducing complexity. o Document solutions to institutionalize knowledge for the development, operational, support, and end user communities o Embrace changing priorities productively understanding it is required in todays business environment Requirements and Qualifications O Minimum 6 years software development and integration experience o Minimum 5 years Microsoft web software development and Internet web hosting environment experience. o Demonstrated professional development experience in several SDLC models including Agile/Scrum. o Demonstrated experience with most of the following: Windows, IIS, .net, C++/#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Subversion. Built applications and product based on these technologies that scale in a multi-tiered, multi-site highly available web environment. o Demonstrated professional development experience with Web Services frameworks such as JavaScript AJAX, API development, SOAP, and JSON. o Strong debugging skills with the ability to reach out and work with internal and external stakeholders to solve complex problems. o Bachelors degree in technical discipline required.
