Description :

The selected consultant will work on the Distributed Systems Support (server, storage and cloud infrastructure) team and also work closely with other IT technical staff to maintain existing systems; evaluate and recommend improvements to existing systems and Ohio Dept of Public Safety standards and processes.
This position will function as an IT Systems Administrator with specific responsibilities that include:

1. Function as the liaison to the various support groups with whom the system management team interfaces.
2. Develop the technical infrastructure maintenance strategy.
3. Manage the system management resources.
4. Act as a systems management expert.
5. Analyze, determine, and document requirements in terms of system management needs and implement them.
6. Identify, approve, and prioritize team projects.
7. Manages a large site or network.
8. Recommends policies on system use and services.

During the interview process with the ODPS staff, the resource consultant must demonstrate competence/experience in their specific area(s) of project assignment. The resources experience must also be documented for review and verification. Offered resources not showing technical or functional competence/experience will be sufficient reason to reject the Offerors proposal. It is the responsibility of the Offeror to pre-screen their candidates to ensure compliance. Resource will have a background check conducted by ODPS.

3. Ability to collaborate with supporting resources across business and/or functional lines.
4. Have excellent oral and written skills/possess strong meeting and work session facilitation skills.
5. Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, the ability to manage time and resources to meet assigned deadlines.
6. Have strong understanding of prioritization stemming from the elicitation of system and/or user requirements.
7. Have excellent organizational skills, proven analytical, planning, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
8. Must be knowledgeable in the English language/speak clearly and understandably using the English language.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
1. 4 yrs experience with AWS cloud infrastructure
2. 6 yrs experience with server maintenance
3. 6 yrs experience managing a large network
4. 6 yrs experience managing daily operation of systems management
5. 6 yrs experience in support
