Description: Compensation: Max pay rate we can do is $106/Hr on C2C basis, but if you have candidates over this rate THAT ARE TRUE ARCHITECTS please still submit them and we can see if our client will have flexibility based on their experience) Cloud Data Architect Overview: You will be tasked with designing and driving the construction of foundational components for our clients next generation of data. This role requires a blend of technical leadership, team leadership, and hands-on development (~20% development). This position operates following an Agile methodology. Cloud Data Architect Responsibilities: Oversee companywide project around internal cloud migration of data from on prem SQL Server databases Lead best practices in technology, performance, and scalability. Work with individuals throughout organization (Developers, Architects, SCRUM Masters, Product Owners, Executives, and Business partners.) Evaluate, define, and when necessary, prototype alternatives to determine the most appropriate approach for each solution. Determine how to satisfy requirements using existing platform and services, and when appropriate, define new services to fulfill the projects particular needs and makes recommendations. Assist in preparing functional specifications that can be understood by customers and internal development teams and provide high-level, prioritized approaches to achieve business objectives. Work with the product and professional services team members to estimate the work. Provide direction, guidance, development oversight, and support to successfully deliver on time with quality. Influence a broad audience to adopt a particular path and be respected as a thought leader. Understand the broader implications of strategy across all business units, while visualizing the project-level implications. Provide technical problem resolution to complex issues. Contribute to on-going process and methodology improvements. Work with cross functional teams, such as engineering and product management to provide feedback and support the evolution of the product. Build System Context Diagrams. Create Solution Architecture (blueprint) across business capability and application views that align with target state architecture and business plan prioritization. Create project/program decision frameworks. Cloud Data Architect Requirements: Experience supporting data migration project from on prem to cloud environment as a Cloud Data Architect or a Senior Data Developer. Open to candidates who have worked with Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) but must be willing to work with Azure specifically. Experience working with at least one of the following tools in professional setting: Azure Databricks, Scala, Apache Spark, Azure HD Insight. Very strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written with cross functional team members and individuals throughout the organization. Ability and willingness to work 80% of the time as high level architect and 20% of the time performing hands on data development. Experience working within Agile methodology.
