Job Description DBA: Adabase, DB2 LUW DBA, Database Support, Informix SQL

Description:

Education and Experience Required:
Job experience as a DBA supporting Informix databases.
Knowledge and Skills: At least 5 years with production support, performance monitoring and tuning, problem identification and solution, modifying database structures, backup, recovery, disaster recovery tests.

Qualifications:
DATABASE skills:
Informix application DBA support
ADABASE Unix, DB2 LUW or other DBMS DBA skills a plus.
Able to use utilities to backup , reorg, recover, unload, load tables. Create, change and modify DB structures.
Migrate data to new hardware and new releases of Informix
Perform space monitoring and performance and tuning.
Production Support Oncall rotation, off shift and weekend work possible.
Adhere to all defined standards and processes and documentation.
Platform: Unix, knowledge in Informix tools.
SQL programming a plus.
Need to be able to effectively communicate orally and written with users, team members, management and supervisors.
Must possess strong leadership and problem solving skills and have the ability to multi-task and thrive in a flexible and demanding environment
