The resource will be responsible for working with other teams namely application-development, configuration management, release management, performance engineering,quality assurance, database administration, integration services infrastructure and other shared services teams. The resource will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues and must be ready to engage with the various team mentioned above utilizing superior customer service skills and advanced Cardinal product knowledge to resolve customer issues. From a technology perspective, the resource will be responsible for the administration and engineering of WebSphere Portal and WCM versions 6.0 and 7.0, WebSphere Commerce versions 6.0 and 7.0 and WebSphere Application Server versions 6.1 and 7.0 and Endeca Search version 6.x. The resource will be working alongside other WebSphere Platform engineers. The resource must be willing and able to work with the off-shore development teams. With the differences in time zones, this may be during night time (US). Additionally, the resource will also be placed on an on-call rotation to support the production systems after appropriate training has been provided. SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Interact well with all levels of management, and cross multiple teams Develop and implement technical solutions based on defined business requirements Identify technical environment issues and recommend solutions to mitigate problems Perform analytical, technical and administrative work in the planning, design and installation of new and existing computer systems Test and certify new software and hardware technologies for use in Cardinal environment SKILLS: WebSphere Portal/WCM Administration 6.0/7.0 WebSphere Commerce Administration 6.0/7.0 WebSphere Application Server Administration 6.1/7.0 Minimum of 5 years of experience with administering WebSphere Application Server 6.x / 7.0 Minimum of 3 years of experience with WebSphere Portal/WCM or WebSphere Commerce Experience with Linux (SuSE 10 & 11), Windows 2003/2008, AIX Excellent testing, technical and analytical skills Ability to work with developers, diagnose and resolve issues quickly Ability to multi-task Experience with MQ and Message Broker a plus Experience with other JEE application servers a plus Prior JEE development skills a plus Experience with CA APM (Wily) experience a plus Experience with Identify and Access Management systems a plus Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent command of the system development life cycle Expectations Applies comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projects May contribute to the development of policies and procedures Works on complex projects of large scope Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult pro   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
