Some high-level goals of developing this system include the following (these goals will be revisited and added to during the discovery process): • Create efficiencies in the administration of lands, assets, and projects. • Create efficiencies in the process of managing and maintaining our assets and agreements. • Provide better information to FFSL and our stakeholders. • Ensure that the state is effectively managing the financial benefits and responsibilities of the lands FFSL manages. • Establish and maintain robust internal controls. • Create a system that can manage, track, report, and bill the contracts, deeds, assets, projects, and agreements. • Utilize a cloud-hosted system that can be leveraged across regional offices • Leverage (as much as possible) existing code / features in ULTRA developed for Department of Wildlife to reduce development costs The Discovery effort will streamline the project into formal implementation and development and provide the application developers with the collateral needed to be successful. This approach also provides the FFSL team with a “gated” process allowing them to see cost and timeline options for implementation upon with to make downstream decisions.
