ORRAI/APD seeks an experienced software Tester IV for the purposes of quality assurance testing on an existing third-party application. The work will focus on finding and reporting bugs that might exist in the current user interface (UI). The third-party application is in daily use by APD staff and there are concerns about UI navigation, work and process flow that might not follow the internal business flow. Note: The key person must have an eye for details and excellent communication skills -- able to communicate with both internal staff (end-users/technical staff) and vendors. Required and expected to demonstrate strong analytical, organizing, problem-solving, and written communication skills to satisfy the main duties of this work. Scope of work: The key person will review and analyze the system specifications, create a manual, and perhaps automate the testing process to ensure the application fits the purpose of the business users and the department. Any findings must be documented and communicated with our partners. The key person will also work with various program areas and business teams to interview and understand the functionality and improvement needs from the application. This will include identifying the following: missing components, missing process flows, and improvement for ease of use. Key person will then provide recommendations, create data catalogs, and make sure new client requirements are well documented and presented. Must be able to evaluate testing effectiveness and consult with management to implement new solutions, as well as document results from creating regression test plans, execute regression testing, and prepare detailed work estimate for testing performed. Tasks: Identify bugs and potential problems with an existing application Work with our business partners to plan and perform different stages of testing.
