The system consists of two presentation mechanisms. A client/server application called FamilyNet and a J2EE application called i-FamilyNet. Both systems interact with the same backend database. DCF seeks a technical project manager to oversee the modernization of remaining mission critical business functions in FamilyNet by migration of the said functions to i-FamilyNet application. At the end of migration FamilyNet will be sunset. The migration strategy is to design, develop and implement these functions in i-FamiyNet. Current project team is a mix of employees and consultants. Selected individual will work with the Director of Business Applications and other project team members to manage this important endeavor. Responsibilities : o Manages a team of developers, business analysts and testers to create project deliverables and commitments by defining clear, attainable objectives and milestones. o Perform various analytic activities including application requirements analysis o Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. o Facilitates release planning and iteration planning meetings, o Day to day management of project team including task estimation, allocation, assignment and tracking, assistance in the recruitment and selection of contract staff. o Work with external stakeholders and resources to track progress toward key milestones and report on status, risks, and issues. o Ongoing written and verbal communications including presentations and business cases to engage key stakeholders. o Ensures project documents are created and updated based on project templates. Qualifications : o Should have a strong background and experience performing project planning and control, requirements management and development, systems analysis, and some software testing processes. o Demonstrated Expertise (DE) applying Agile project management methodologies across the SDLC including task allocation and scope estimation; o Capable of managing development teams of up to 15 people. o Knowledge of JAVA and RDBMS technologies, concepts and applied background in various software development methodologies. o Business analysis skills and the ability to drive support of initiatives is a must. o Ability to translate customer needs into technical, operational and organization solutions and recommendations o Highly motivated with strong communication, facilitation, presentation, and writing skills o Ability to negotiate effectively; collaborative interpersonal skills and ability to work within cross-functional teams. o Extensive experience in technical consulting project management or professional services Education : • Masters degree in technical or business discipline   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
