Job Description
looking for a candidate to provide architecture design for all AIX and Linux systems in our clients Global Datacenter. This position will provide leadership to the other members of the AIX and Linux support group, and help the Service Delivery Manager set the direction for the AIX environment

Functions:
· Architecture design and support for servers in a Global Datacenter running AIX and Linux
· Provide technical expertise on AIX /Linux infrastructure projects
· Strong project delivery and support background working in a large enterprise environment
· System installation, performance monitoring, configuration, and capacity planning.
· Configuration, management, and support for advanced AIX /Linux functionality which includes: HA, LPM, NIM, NPIV, etc.
· In-depth understanding of Linux fundamentals including kernel subsystems, system calls, inter-process communication, process/resource management and file systems
· Proactively maintain system integrity, supporting change management, system backup and disaster recovery, and problem management.
· Evaluate, install and configure system administration support tools and third-party application software.
· Shell scripting for automating various system administration tasks and processes
· Configuring and managing system security
· Document software and system configuration.
Job Requirements
Knowledge:
· 7 years in Information technology + 5 years of AIX and Linux experience
· Strong Multi-tasking skills and able to handle large volumes of work
· Process Focused
· Functional / Technical Skills:
· AIX 5, 6, and 7
· Power HA, NIM, NPIV, LPM
· Red Hat / SUSE Linux
· Change Management, Disaster Recovery
· TSM-Storage

Education Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in IT related field
