Job Title: Mobility Engineer (ETG-Unified Communications Group)
Description
The Mobility Engineer will design and implement mobility solutions for the entire enterprise; and develop comprehensive architecture materials capable of conveying fully deployable systems, articulating their benefit, and providing a thorough business case including ROI and TCO analysis. They will stay apprised of industry standards, best practices and trends, and provide technical oversight to projects to ensure that they meet design specifications, incorporate current solution sets to extend the unified communication offering to the enterprise, such as solidifying the messaging, mobility and collaboration needs.

They will also coordinate, develop, and ensure support and training is appropriately provided. Must have great instincts to recognize and prioritize emerging service issues and bring the appropriate level of attention and resources to successfully resolve them. Has a strong ability to synergize with other IT teams and shows great diplomacy.


Responsibilities
• Develop, Test and Implement solutions for Blackberry Enterprise Server, other Mobile Device Management platforms such as Airwatch and in-building solutions.
• Provide mobility guidance, support and training to associates, designated Wireless Liaisons, IT Contacts, vendors, technical teams, developers and extended support.
• Proactively identify potential issues in the mobility environments. Alert associates and peers as appropriate, and assist with root cause analysis.
• Provide 3rd level mobility service support, including procurement of wireless voice and data services, ensuring accurate orders are placed with the wireless vendors including: activation of new services, cancellation of existing service, selection of preferred carrier, change of carrier or liability, change of service type or change of equipment type, adhering to corporate standards and security policy.
• Assist with compilation of accurate monthly reporting of messaging and mobility environments, including service usage and ensuring wireless plans are optimized to meet corporate financial goals.
• Managing vendor relationships, researching new and emerging technologies related to mobility, security and wireless infrastructures
• Document technical environments, processes, procedures, test plans, and project plans.
• Perform on-site analyze, diagnosis, and resolution for mobility problems, and recommend potential solutions.




Education
Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent education in a related discipline is required.



Experience Required
• Minimum of 3-5 years Mobile Device and Policy Management on Android, Apple, Windows Mobile, and BlackBerry in a medium to large business.
• Experience with Mobility and Messaging technologies including the following is also preferred: BlackBerry Enterprise Server. 5 and 10, Airwatch, Microsoft Exchange, Outlook 2007, 2010, LDAP, SMTP, TLS, Email & IM Security, AD,.
• Experience with mobile device specifications, hardware and security.
• A working knowledge of wireless technical standards and in-building solutions.
• Experience with project management, lifecycle management and critical path scheduling.
