PURPOSE: The Financial Applications Support Specialist is responsible for providing help desk and application support for all users related to financial systems such as JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and other related financial systems. The Financial Applications Support Specialist will resolve issues where possible and will coordinate the resolution of more complex problems with other groups in the IT department, or outside vendors. JOB FUNCTIONS: Helpdesk Support Performs daily support activities (end user problem resolution and documentation) including security administration Coordinates/performs resolution for specific JDE-related integrity reports Assists with resolving production issues, researching ESUs/Fixes, and serves as an overall team member of the Financial Applications Support Team Provides ad hoc training (limited) as necessary Participates in classroom training on an as needed basis Contributes content to the Financial Applications SharePoint website Log calls via phone and email requests into Help Desk system. Shared responsibility to monitor phone and help desk email inbox. Open, resolve and close tickets in the IT Helpdesk System. Escalate issues to other IT groups or outside vendors as appropriate. Assist with special projects as required. Skills/Experience Required Skills Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills Experience with Oracles JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (v9.0 preferred) Experience with MS Excel, MS Access, and macros required Excellent communication (phone and in person) skills to effectively support end-users and interact with IT vendors. Ability to take the initiative to learn and apply technical skills. Must have a can do positive attitude. Must be able to fluently communicate in English (both verbal and written communication) Ability to work independently. Experience with Help Desk software a plus Experience: five years minimum in JD Edwards end-user support preferred.
