Expert in dealing with browser nuances and challenges Responsive / mobile first Thorough understanding of object oriented design and development practices Understanding and use of software design patterns Experience and/or knowledge of algorithms and big-O notations Must be able to keep-up with latest development in open source frameworks Unix/Linux Scripting Experience/Knowledge Public/Private Cloud Experience/Knowledge Experience working with agile teams and knowledge of agile ceremonies. Experience with one or more CICD and devops tools but not limited to Jenkins, Ansible (CICD) Preferably equally efficient with functional programming as well along with imperative methods. The ability to perform code reviews Advanced level knowledge of concurrency and must be able to demonstrate prior practical experience in different methods of achieving concurrency controls. Must be able to reason differences between blocking and non-blocking programming with practical examples and pick appropriate approach for the development problems Experience working with: web application development, distributed and parallel systems with ability to perform diagnostic using log aggregation as well as APM tools. Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software. Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes UML Experience with test driven development using opensource technologies but not limited to Junit, Cucumber, Protractor etc. (ATDD) and BDD Research and champion new technologies Design and implement product features in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders Design reusable components, frameworks and libraries Write Unit tests Understands browser nuances Optimization / performance tuning - bundling, minifying, caching Debugging / problem solving / critical thinking Some understanding of server technologies like Java, C#, node, etc. Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables. Proactively share knowledge on latest frameworks, tools and contribute/participate/lead in evolving development stack and SDLC improvements. Adherence (and preferably set benchmark for others) for coding standards and also secure coding practices, use of encryption Some understanding of client technologies HTML, CSS, JS Experience with source control Experience with branching strategies What software tools/skills are needed to perform these daily responsibilities?
