The initial version of this application is a custom developed application. The purpose of this SOW is to expand the functionality of the existing tool to the next features desired for managing projects within the Department of Education and provide visibility into those projects into our future Best For All Central portal. b. Background The initial version of the application was built using .NET Core back end and Angular front end on SQL Server and deployed in the Education Azure cloud. The next phase of this tool will expand on functionality keeping with the existing tech stack and integrating into our Azure and Microsoft based services. Developers and organizations with knowledge of the tech stack and how to incorporate Microsoft technologies is critical to the success of the implementation. 2. Acronyms/Definitions: a. Services Required The Department is seeking partner to provide development that will complete the custom development of the features needed for the next version of the existing PMD application. The features are included in the “In Scope” section of this document. b. In Scope Features/Requests for 2.0 i. Define and implement single sign-on integration with Departments Azure AD with roles ii. Create connections with Departments Best For All Central platform allowing for included, but not limited to, the following integrations: 1. Calendar Integration – push milestone events from PMD to the calendar on Best For All Central. 2. Display of department catalog and services 3. Create a responsive user interface that can be embedded inside the Best For All Central platform. iii. Connect the PMD tool to Education Finance Dashboard to pull relevant financial, budgetary and staff information related to the project. iv. Provide the project plan template and workflow to properly create, save, and submit for approvals any project plan submitted within the tool. 1. Provide workflow functionality for any project started within the tool and that already exists as an active project within the tool. 2. Start, Stop edit capabilities of project plans within the tool as part of the workflow 3. Full template will be in the dashboard, so that project owners can actually draft their plan in the website. Project plans could also go through review and approval cycles in the site, so plans would need to exist in an unpublished draft version and in an approved published version v. Ability to add linked tasks to each with the milestone, thereby adding a task/productivity management functionality vi. Dashboard functionality that reflects information for a specific user based on role and organization as derived from Active Directory. vii. Update the way summative and formative metric data is stored and saved over time so trend analysis can be completed. viii. Ensure data model allows for external reporting tools, such as PowerBI. ix. Create notification system to project owners for tasks that need to be completed within the tool such as updating metric data as it comes due and updating status x.
