Description: Experis is partnered with a national education organization in search of a Full Stack Java Software Development Engineer in Test for an exciting long term contract opportunity.
*****Client requires that the candidate must have proof of eligibility to work in the US. There are no visa sponsorships available at this time. In Person Interview is required.

This position provides technical oversight of quality assurance policies and procedures. The incumbent is responsible for the analysis of scoring functional requirements, developing, executing test cases, test scripts for User interface, API, relational database, and evaluating test results to determine compliance with test plans and established business processes. This position requires working knowledge of test driven development with automated testing tools. The incumbent must be located in the Northern Virginia area with access to the Reston Office to facilitate working with the IT Scoring Team.

Required Skills:

o Strong experience in testing in a cross-functional, Agile environment.
o Experience using JavaScript, Angular.JS, Node.JS and React.JS
o Experience testing Cloud-based (AWS) and hosted application systems.
o Experience with techniques of problem identification, perform root cause analysis, issue documentation, resolution support, and testing.
o Strong experience with Quality Assurance processes such as functional, integration, and regression testing techniques in validating web-based and data-driven applications in a multi-tier environment.
o Experience in configuring automated testing environments, implementing frameworks, writing testing automation scripts, using tools such as Cucumber and/or Selenium in a continuous integration and delivery environment.
o Experience using test automation frameworks to support and accelerate DevOps delivery.
o Experience in leveraging testing best practices such as test doubles (studs, fakes, shims, mocks) and test suite organization preferred.
o Experience in setting up a CI/CD pipeline to run automated test efficiently.
o Require strong experience in Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) tools to validate analytical data as it applies to assessment scoring
o Expertise in back-end testing and the ability to write DDL/DML statements, mid-to-complex SQL queries, and PLSQL procedures in relational databases.
o Experience in testing XML, Angular, Java, J2EE, RESTful web services and APIs
o Experience in working with Cloud, UNIX, LINUX, Windows platforms, and command line language.
o Experience using issue and project tracking software such as JIRA, work flow management such as Appian.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills


Preferred Skills:

o Knowledge of basic security testing (authentication, authorization, data integrity, system vulnerabilities based on requirements, etc.) is a plus
