Required Skills: This is a Level 3 role, expectations is to provide oversight and ownership of environment, troubleshoot and resolve complex issues. JOB SUMMARY: This person will be responsible for planning, installing and maintaining an Enterprise Backup environment and related infrastructure in a 24 X 7 setting. The primary focus of this position will be to support backup solutions which consist of STK/SUN tape robotic libraries, Symantec NetBackup software, virtual tape library and de-duplication backup solutions. Other duties will consist of scheduling and monitoring backups, performing problem determination on failed backups, reporting monthly measurements and managing storage capacity, making recommendations to improve environment, propose solutions to issues in a planned timeline, maintaining current documentation, attending scheduled meetings. As a member of the storage team, you will work closely with technical services and support teams, external vendor partners, and internal customers to develop and implement storage solution for Business initiatives. This would include gathering project specifications and requirements, designing a solution, gathering cost, ordering, and implementation of the solution. QUALIFICATIONS: BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience 5-10 years experience as a Storage/Backup Administrator, VERTIAS NetBackup 5.X or Higher (UNIX/Windows) Experience in medium Backup environment (6+ Master Servers, 1,000+ clients) Working knowledge of Unix (AIX, HP, Sun) and Windows operating systems Detailed knowledge of Enterprise Backup Solutions, Hardware Systems, and Disaster Recovery Experience with Data Migration and Multi-Site Data Replication Performance monitoring, system tuning, and capacity planning experience Ability to troubleshoot issues independently Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience with Project management methodologies and software (such as Microsoft Project) Experience writing technical documentation (such as Microsoft Visio) Support for the environment 24 X 7 (Pager rotation every 5-6 weeks)   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
