Description :

Experis is actively seeking an experienced Network Engineer for a long term contract role in the NW Suburbs of Chicago.

Qualified candidates will be responsible for the project planning, design, coordination and strategy to integrate ISP - TELCO provider circuits into our clients Wide Area Network. This individual should poses at least three years of WAN hands on troubleshooting of MPLS over point to point, Frame Relay Networks, ATM, SONET and METRO E. Familiar with Telco terminology, end to end connectivity, knowledge of main point of entrance of circuits to site locations. Extensive knowledge of Routing protocols of both interior routing gateway and exterior routing protocols.

Candidate will be responsible for WAN transformation project and insourcing management of the AT&T MPLS network to the Network Operations team.

Skillset Details

Familiar with Telco terminology, end to end connectivity, knowledge of main point of entrance of circuits to site locations.
Extensive knowledge of Routing protocols of both interior routing gateway and exterior routing protocols.
Tasks: MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching) understanding of Virtual Forwarding concepts and configurations. (Virtual Router).
Role PE and CPE routers.
Understanding of Policy Based Routing ACLS, NAT Translation tables.
Fail-over traffic concept.
Understanding of Vector Routing (EIGRP) versus Link-state (OSPF)
1) Topologies OSPF - Broadcast, Point to Point, NBMA Extensive knowledge of BGP protocol, configuration and implementation.
1) IBGP functionality
2) EBGP functionality
3) Understanding of best shortest path cost analysis.
Configuring QOS and Cost of service policies where needed. Configuring Netflow.
Troubleshooting routing problems like routing loops (asymmetrical), spanning loops (Broadcast Storms).
Identifying WAN bandwidth utilization issues while implementing circuits.
Troubleshooting Overlapping IP subnets, firewall issues while implementing site.
Troubleshooting circuit problems such as End to End, Local loops with Telco Providers while implementation process.
