He/she should have a strong foundation and hands-on experience in BI data management design and development, debugging BI existing applications as well as performance tuning. The selected candidate will work closely with the BI team to provide technical leadership to facilitate development projects that involve the computing environment which may include the coordination of software upgrades and the installation of new products. He/she will design and validate data solutions that are practical, flexible, scalable, reusable and strategic. These efforts enhance data quality, enrich access and provide business decision makers with information upon which they can make more accurate and effective decisions across multiple domains. The candidate should have the following core skill set: At Least 10 years of hands-on experience on data management design, performing tasks such developing strategies for data acquisitions as well as developing data structures, archive recovery and associated data policies. Strong background in Data Architecture including data warehouse design, extract-transform-load (ETL) design and development. Experience in designing and developing Multidimensional Databases and Data Warehouses. Experience in modeling large-scale (100+ entities) Relational Data Models. Understanding of existing BI Technologies : Composite Data virtualization, Business Objects Reporting, Tableau Dashboards. Experience in data modeling for relational databases V both for logical and physical data models. Thorough understanding of data integration, data virtualization, data federation and database design techniques. Broad knowledge of vendor capabilities in data management solutions V MDM, Data Federation, Big Data, Data Quality, Business Intelligence etc. Thorough understanding of dimensional modeling, modeling for reporting applications, normalization techniques, forward-engineering and reverse-engineering techniques. In-depth understanding and practical expertise with regards to structured system development methodologies. Familiarity with various process modeling techniques (activity hierarchy diagrams, data flow diagrams, sequence diagrams, workflow diagrams, system interface diagrams). A wide degree of creativity and lateral thinking is expected. Excellent communication, writing/documentation and facilitation skills. Technical Degree, preferably in Computer Science/Engineering. Required Technologies: Programming Languages: PL/SQL Database: Oracle 10g/11g, Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and above Operating Systems: Unix, Linux Design Language: UML, Visio, Erwin 9.x and above, Model-Mart (CA All Fusion) Tools: Informatica 9.0.x, Composite, Business Objects, Tableau Desired: Experience in various development methodology like Agile/Scrum development methodology. Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong diplomatic, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
