The position is located in Washington, DC and is a 6 months+ contract opportunity. The selected candidate will be involved in the architecture approach, architecture design, the tool/technology evaluation, and proof of concept, prototype and technical assessments, as well as work with application teams on the detail technical design. The position will require in-depth knowledge and experience with Java/JEE application, Mainframe/CICS, Enterprise Application Integration, Web Services, Business Rule Engine and Process Orchestration. This individual will be primary working on Claims/Audit related SOWs. The individual will also support other SOWs as needed. The responsibilities for this individual is to play solution architect role to perform full life-cycle activities in support of multiple projects identified by the architecture senior director which will include but not limited to: 1. Work on the architecture approach, architecture design and prototypes for the project 2. Work on the technology/tool evaluation, proof of concept and prototypes to support architecture decision 3. Work with SMEs from applications area on the technical analysis to support architecture and technical design 4. Work with project and development managers to define the scope and develop plan for the architecture and other technical deliverables related to the project 5. Work with development team on technical detail design and implementation issues 6. Work with Product Director, Product owners, DO business owners on Product directions, produce program level architecture roadmap and recommendation Required Skills: This position requires a BA/BS in computer science or equivalent experience, and more than 10 years professional software development and application architecture experience, including 6 years Enterprise Application Integration experience with mainframe/CICS, Java/JEE and COTS tools and 3 years experience with the architecture design. Specific requirements include, but not limited to: Proven architecture and integration experience with high-volume/high-thoughput transaction systems Solid understanding on enterprise integration patterns, enterprise integration platform and technologies Solid understanding in general on IBM WebSphere, Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, MQ, Web Services, Microservices other internet/web technology The architecture design background of the web security frameworks, such as Spring Security The architecture design experience of implementing complex business processes and applications using EAI, BRE, Web Services, Mainframe COBOL/CICS and Java/JEE framework Good knowledge of the Mainframe application and technology domain, including operating systems software and platform, infrastructure, CICS, MQ, data management and database technologies Demonstrated experience in monitoring, analyzing and recommending solutions to performance problems in high-traffic, large-scale distributed systems and integration architectures Excellent communication and inter-person skill set A big plus to have: Familiar with Healthcare modernization Excellent object oriented analysis and design patterns/techniques Ability to work effectively with all internal and external stakeholders Self-starter, independent and motivated Software & Tools: UML, IBM WebSphere, IBM DataPower, MQ Series, SOAP/REST, Java/J2EE, Spring framework, LDAP, Hibernate, Mainframe, CICS, DB2   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
