You will oversee the entire life cycle of cost optimization as a product, from defining the scope, building relevant technology and tools, and creating a great customer experience. You will own the optimization product from ideation, execution, tracking, and continuous improvement. From inception, through launch, and through the customer journey, you will envision how each team is going to play a role in the products success. Emphasis should be placed on being an advocate for the end-users and in building and improving features based on their pain points; and to continuously iterate based on their feedback. They ultimately roll up to support the Retail & Core Technology Services organization for Starbucks. The team is expanding and looking to help augment the workload. Typical Day in the Role · Develop and maintain a roadmap for optimization delivery · Assess Azure/AWS environments for opportunities to optimize and reduce spend · Work closely with customer users to plan and execute changes · Execute orders for Reserve Instances and other related optimization change · Ensure results do not conflict with other optimization efforts · Develop, define track and report on success metrics · Monitor overall results and make recommendations for change based on results · Develop and make recommendations of best practices for cost management · Develop financial and best practices content and educate customers · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure "look-forward" approach is employed to anticipate usage and savings opportunities Compelling Story & Candidate Value Proposition The Cloud Business Operations team is responsible for financials/cost management, governance, supplier/customer engagement, product management, learning, marketing and communications.
