Cloud Architect Support Services / Consulting

Background information
The San Mateo County, Information Services Department (ISD) is seeking Cloud Architect support services for the Countys cloud based projects.

ISD is looking to move selected workloads to the cloud. To support this effort, ISD will put together a multi-discipline Cloud team. An experienced partner is needed to advise the ISD team in developing a strategy, and creating a design that will be easily supportable by existing IT staff.

Services requested
The selected consultant will advise the team and provide Subject Matter Expertise in Cloud architecture and migration practices. The selected vendor must be able to:

1. Train staff on Cloud Technologies
2. Architect a Private and Public Cloud
3. Document the SMC Cloud
4. Train staff on Application movement between the Counties Private and Public
5. Assist with the creation of Cloud dashboards
6. Provide guidance on security issues
7. Assist with developing a chargeback or tiered service model.

The selected vendor must be available to provide a consultant to work on-site in Redwood City at least once per week. The selected vendor must have experience working with state, local or county agencies. Experience with both Azure and AWS is required. Knowledge of commercial and government clouds is a plus.

Proposals should include the following:
1. Description of relevant experience in the area of cloud computing.
2. Biosketch for any proposed consultant(s).
3. Reference accounts where similar services were provided.
