The main function of a Systems Administrator is to be responsible for system administration of core systems as well as monitoring and repair of high performance computing systems. Ensures consistent and reliable operation including enterprise servers and network infrastructure. Summary: Job Responsibilities: • Provides wide ranging system administration in a multi-platform environment • Responsible for general systems administration tasks including system configuration management, OS installations, security updates, urgent system patching • Writes and implements scripts to automate tasks • Ability to identify and troubleshoot hardware components that are problematic • Performs daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, network disruption awareness and predefined key processes • Reviews system logs, application logs and security logs Qualifications: Bachelors degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required 3-5 years experience required Proven work experience as a system or network administrator Office 365 / Azure AD Intermediate (1-3 years) Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 Senior (3-5 years) Exchange Server 2013/2016/2019 Senior (3-5 years) Active Directory Senior (3-5 years) PowerShell Scripting Senior (3-5 years) Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) Intermediate (1-3 years) The Systems Administrator II provides technical leadership, software support and technical guidance in support of business critical systems. This position assists in the implementation and support of services and architectures to provide solutions that are most appropriate for meeting specific application and/or business requirements. The ultimate implementation is based upon leveraging those technologies that are readily available to meet application availability and performance objectives. The implementation of these solutions includes providing comparative analysis from both an operational and architectural perspective. This analysis is used to assist management in developing formal recommendations for Senior Global Business Solutions & Technology (GBS & T) Management. In addition, this position is responsible for maintaining a high-level perspective on the day-to-day operational aspects of the department. This perspective produces the ability to identify and recommend efficiencies that can be built into existing processes and procedures.
