You would design and develop data models that aggregate disparate data sets so that data reporting and analytics can efficiently take place. Specifically, you will: Understand and translate business needs into analytical data models supporting long-term solutions Work with the BI Analysts & Data Architects to develop conceptual data models Create logical and physical data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy Optimize and update logical and physical data models to support new and existing projects Maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models along with corresponding metadata Recommend opportunities for reuse of data models in new use cases Develop best practices for standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency of data models Lead and provide technical guidance for design and implementation of data warehouse and governance systems Ensure data usage is in line with privacy and security policies Perform reverse engineering of physical data models from databases and SQL scripts. Evaluate data models and physical databases for variances and discrepancies. Validate business data objects for accuracy and completeness. Establish standards and guidelines for developing data models Guide BI Analysts and Self-Developed BI community on platform limitations and capabilities Qualification: Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent experience 10+ years of experience delivering business intelligence solutions involving in large complex data warehouse design, development and testing 10+ years of experience with OLTP and OLAP database models Experience in structuring the data in the most effective and efficient format for analytics and reporting Experience in designing data models that best represent the underlying business context Experience with data analytics providing actionable data driven decision making. Ability to create new or leverage existing analysis models and apply them to aligned program using business knowledge. Experience with Cloud Data Warehouses such as Snowflake Familiarity with business intelligence platforms such as Tableau or other BI tools Has strong presentation and collaboration skills and can communicate all aspects of the job requirements, including the creation of formal documentation Independent. Strong critical thinking, decision making, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Go-Getter. Possesses strong, planning, execution and multitasking skills and demonstrated ability to reprioritize accordingly. Must be able to manage quickly changing priorities while meeting deadlines.
