Business Overview:

Team:

· PBM Operations – Shared Services, Reporting and BI team

Purpose:

· Supports the business in decision making and customer service efforts by providing business intelligence services. This role acts as a liaison between technology and business partners and is responsible for converting data into meaningful and actionable reporting products.

Value Proposition/Selling Points (Market place advantages):

· Pulling pharmacy claim and benefit information to help audit questions to determine impact – they would get a pretty good understanding of Pharmaceutical Benefits Management (PBM) operations overall.

· Monday – Friday 1st shift

Position Overview:

Daily Responsibilities/Job Description:

· Develop and execute reporting solutions by following internal reporting standards and best practices

· Participate in the collection of reporting requirements through intake and prioritization sessions

· Recommend quality and system improvements by analyzing the data issues, maintaining and enhancing data iteration processes, and collaborating with system owners to improve upstream processes

· Create, maintain, and improve new and existing reporting solutions as required by the business

· Facilitate team request intake sessions as a means to collect reporting requirements and determine project prioritization

· Manage a designated group of internal and external clients on behalf of the metrics & reporting team

· Collect, validate, interpret, and organize various types of data into meaningful reports and/or summaries for designated client groups

· Use statistical analysis and best practices to identify risks and opportunities and define reporting solutions

Interaction level with Management/Team Members:

· Would be a lot of interaction with Peers to learn data/business

· Business partners – a lot of communication regarding impact. Lots of back and forth/follow up

o Will be given guidance and assistance with this – looking for more of the technical

Skills Overview:

Qualifications/years of experience:

· Bachelors Degree and 3+ years experience in business intelligence, reporting analysis/development, data analysis, and/or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience

· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access tools in addition to familiarity with other reporting technologies

Must Haves:

1. Experience with writing SQL queries

2. SAS Ideal – (lesser: AQT/Tableau)

Additional Requirements:

· Prior experience with report generating technologies (like Cognos, MicroStrategy, Business Objects, Tableau, etc.)

· Prior experience with data consolidation and modeling

· Prior PBM experience or experience working with medical claims, pharmacy claims, healthcare and/or benefits data

· Experience in the implementation of quality process improvement efforts

· Experience documenting requirements, creating training materials and working directly with end users

· Proven ability to exercise independent judgment

· Proven ability to manage deliverables in a fast paced environment
