We have a 24-month project with our client in Brooklyn, NY that requires a Software Architect, Expert Responsible for the design, development and deployment of multi-dimensional reports using the Business Intelligence solutions. Day-to-Day Tasks include, but not limited to: Design database that will be used for reporting platforms Install new software assembly during migration efforts Maintain knowledge on all new software and financial techniques to make design choice solutions Plan, control and execute Unit and System Testing Monitor report response times and ensure optimal utilization of all SQL scripts Serve as point of contact to the DOE Senior Manager of overall Cognos Software Projects Design report models using department and company goals as a filter for processing relevant data Conduct requirements meetings with end-users utilizing quantitative, analytical, and business skills and knowledge in an effort to understand crucial data needs for different business users within the Department of Education (DOE). Coordinate with data architecture and modeling teams to prepare and design reports that best fit users requirements Design multi-leveled query structures Implement Cognos Drill Through and Bookmark features in reports Design reports using HTML tags in the Cognos Reporting Tool Assist with managing report security, folder security, database row level security, report schedules and distribution Develop and maintain dashboards and apply data visualization best practices Mandatory Qualifications: Makes high-level design choices and dictates technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms. Designs multi-leveled architecture or component interactions of a large-scale software system. 84+ Months-Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field. Preferred Qualifications: 84 months experience in Cognos BI and Analytics 84 months Experience with planning, process analysis, and problem solving. 84 months of Pre-K and/or Financial Data Analytic Requirements 36 months experience in Cognos Framework Manager, data modeling and the development of packages accessing various data sources including SQL Server and DB2. 48 months Experience with Microsoft Office products such as MS Project, MS Access, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word 84 months Experience in software engineering and information technology 48 months Experience in Microsoft SQL Server databases, SQL Reporting tools, Microsoft TFS and TFS Release Manager Bachelors Degree or masters degree in computer science/telecommunications from an accredited college Languages Must have English Native or bilingual proficiency Additional vendor information Candidates need to meet 60% of the Preferred Qualifications to qualify for the position.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
