We have a 30-month project with our client in Albany, NY that requires a Project Manager, Expert Day-to-Day Tasks include, but not limited to: · Presentations and interaction with high level NYS executive leaders related to the Transportation EAMP project. · Communicating project status to team members as well as management and executives both inside and outside the Agency · Working with other project managers and teams within DOT whose projects interact with or have dependencies upon EAMP. · Defining and assisting with project scope, schedule and budget · Identifying project risks and dependencies and providing implementation alternatives to mitigate project risk related to scope, schedule and budget · Assist with and guide project teams in the development of business cases, project plans, status reports and project management documents as requested by management. · Working with senior management on resource allocations, project responsibilities and tasking, as well as guiding and training resources as necessary · Functioning as a facilitator to clarify business and technical requirements which cross project team boundaries within a matrix organization. Mandatory Qualifications: · Plans, organizes and integrates cross-functional information technology projects that are significant in scope and impact. · 84+ Months-Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field. Preferred Qualifications: · 84 months of experience in managing and leading complex IT projects with budgets over $20 million dollars and duration over 36 months, functioning as the lead project manager with full responsibility for the completion of the project. Experience with managing multiple funding sources including federal and grant funding, management of third-party vendors, management of internal stakeholders and service providers in a matrix organization and deployment to geographically dispersed end-users. · 84 months of experience in engaging in project communication, including leading cross functional project team meetings, preparing meeting summaries, facilitating meetings to resolve project issues, preparing status reports, presenting project status briefings to IT leadership, and presenting project status briefings to project steering committees and/or agency executive management. · 84 months of experience in developing and maintaining schedules in Microsoft Project. · 60 months of experience in managing projects using a Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) based project management methodology, containing well defined and documented processes, templates, and guidelines for all project phases, the adherence to which is required and managed by a formal Project Management Office. · 48 months of experience in managing COTS software implementation projects and/or in-house application development (SDLC) projects. · 48 Months of experience in IT customer relationship management in a government setting including the elicitation and documentation of business requirements; determining service needs and facilitating service delivery; confirming resources needed to support project needs; interpreting high-level business requirements into tangible project milestones; managing a project using centralized IT and project management services; initiating support of project activities with peers, managers and supervisors. · 48 months of experience in managing projects for New York State Agencies. · 24 months of experience in managing IT infrastructure projects. · 24 months of experience in managi   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
