The program is about to complete the initiation phase and start the inception phase of the COMETS HD replacement system. Client has implemented a strong governance model and created a robust quality plan. Client is seeking to augment the existing quality assurance staff with senior systems analysts experienced with conversion of public sector mainframe systems to service oriented architecture solutions. The systems analyst must be a subject matter expert in Unified Process Software Development Methodology as well as intricately familiar with JAVA Platform and Relational Database technologies. This position will lead the COMETS HD functional validation effort including mentoring of a 5-6 person validation team Major Responsibilities • Plan, coordinate and execute the analysis of system documentation work products • Determine validation approach for complex system technologies and functionalities • Acts a team lead for 5-6 person system analyst team • Implementation of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Tool Sets and provides technical support • Assist Organization Change Management with creation of quick start SDLC user guides • Mentor cross discipline project team members to adopt SDLC software and processes • Create and maintain realistic validation test cycles • Maintains SDLC assets in Quality Manager software • Create agendas and Facilitate recurring cross discipline test team meetings • Produces validation cycle progress reports and detailed summaries • Participates in defect triage sessions with Business, Vendor and PMO leads Experience Required • Minimum 5 years RATIONAL SDLC tool administration • Experience with complex public sector system validation involving multiple vendors and interfaces • Experience with leading validation efforts both individually and as a team leader • Broad knowledge of testing approaches and techniques • Diagnostic and problem solving skills • Experience reviewing work products of the business analyst and development team to ensure well defined requirements and use cases Experience Desired • Master of Computer Science degree • Broad knowledge of testing approaches and techniques • Diagnostic and problem solving skills Skills Needed: • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with architects, developers, business analysts and project managers. • Demonstrated flexibility to meet timelines generally associated with performance test schedules ( including off hours) • Organizational skills needed to maintain, archive and retrieve test assets efficiently • Highly analytical, needs to independently analyze test results and be confident with recommendations   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
