Description: we are seeking a Business Analyst to drive the implementation and configuration of illuminas Clarity LIMS product. This position reports to the Chief Scientist for the Next Generation Sequencing lab and will be responsible for: Monitoring and managing the analysis pipeline for operations. Executing on existing and development of operational tasks to deliver genomic data through the pipeline. Work with data sets from current and new platforms to solve complex problems of analytical, computational, and integration related topics. Maintaining the next generation sequencing laboratory software and database integration. Providing methods, prototypes, and code for implementation in internal tools and end-user applications. Establishing Quality Assurance bioinformatics related metrics and protocols based on assay design and performance. Coordinating tasks in Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) such as collection of requirements, software verification, maintenance and clinical validation Working collaboratively with bioinformatics and research scientists across the organization in developing, improving and deploying bioinformatics tools. Currently UPHL is applying next gen sequencing across a broad range of microbial and bacterial specimens from COVID-19 to wastewater, to wildlife and newborn illnesses. The lab applies Bioinformatic analysis in order to analyze, interpret and make sense of the sequencing data. Clarity LIMS is used by clinical and research organizations involved with next-generation sequencing, other genomics, and proteomics technologies. The system provides end-to-end sample tracking, pre-configured workflows for genomics, deep integration to instrumentation, easy configuration and customization, as well as, dashboards for reporting. Requirements: 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Software Engineer or Business Analyst using Clarity LIMS. 3+ years of professional experience as a development lead, team lead or people manger. Exhibit excellent critical thinking. Derive enjoyment from solving puzzles and challenges across a broad range of issues. Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills. Ability to quickly absorb new concepts and ideas as they pertain to next generation sequencing. Collaborate effectively with a diverse set of peers and stakeholders.
