Job Description : IT Senior Business Analyst – Digital St. Paul, MN Summary: The Senior Business Systems Analyst will be directly involved in conducting analysis, documenting business and system requirements, creating functional specifications, test case development and testing to support the implementation of new enterprise systems. This role will provide expertise that is critical in assisting with the identification of opportunities for the effective use of technology and the implementation of industry 4.0 solutions in a highly regulated medical device industry. Description Gathers and maintains analysis documents and standards for implementation and maintenance of new systems, makes recommendations for improvements based on business requirements and use cases. Specifically, for Microsoft Azure IOT Central and PTC ThingWorks IOT systems. Ensures quality documentation and performs activities for application implementation and enhancements, specifically for Microsoft Azure IOT Central and PTC ThingWorks IOT systems. Collaborates with internal customers to ensure user requirements are complete and concise, confirming that changes and enhancements meet specifications and user requirements. Interacts with the business to elicit, analyze and document detailed business requirements, create test cases with traceability and ensure quality through testing. Transforms business requirements into quality documentation including detailed design specifications to describe program development and ensure tractability to requirements in validated quality testing system. Makes appropriate recommendations for continuing, modifying, or abandoning proposed scope based on the results of feasibility studies and/or cost/benefit analyses. Maps current processes to the desired state and identifies gaps such as program functions, output requirements, input requirements and sources, data conversion strategies, and system techniques and controls. Provides solid test designs, develops test cases and execution test cases where applicable. Develops business process flows for new system development or for process redesign. Contributes to documenting end-user training and training as needed. Is responsible for producing documentation that adheres to non-product software validation methodology. Communicates effectively with management to enhance their understanding of the opportunities and limitations. Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Work in conjunction with project team and solution providers to document future functional road maps for each business group or product line with associated ROI calculations. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors. Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned. Equipment Works with standard office equipment such as telephone, cellular phone, fax/copier, and a personal computer with standard office software.
