We have a 24-month project with our client in New York, NY that requires a Senior Business Analyst The Senior Business Analyst will direct and guide the preparation and analysis of various Department of Early Childhood Education (DECE) projects and define, document, and validate processes and business rules to identify business and system functional requirements that support and meet key business objectives. Day-to-Day Tasks include, but not limited to: Develops requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language, for medium to enterprise-level systems. Serves as a subject matter expert and performs functions for urgent, high visibility, high-profile, and strategic projects to ensure accuracy and completeness while meeting challenging deadlines. Creates and implements Requirements Management Plan, including identification of stakeholders, decomposition of the project scope into manageable units, identification of requirement attributes for traceability, requirements prioritization, and reporting. Elicits requirements using interviews, customer documents, workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, analysis of business rules, scenarios, process maps, workflow analysis, and any other business analysis techniques for both new and existing processes and procedures. Critically evaluates and analyzes information gathered from multiple sources, reconciles conflicts, and distinguishes user requests from underlying actual needs. Breaks down highly complex concepts into smaller, comprehensible concepts for analysis to ensure appropriate level of communication and understanding for project stakeholders. Proactively plans and facilitates discussions, brokers issue resolutions, and articulates decision points. Determines whether proposed solutions meet project objectives and solves underlying business problems. Recommends and implements process improvements within assigned areas of involvement to continuously improve quality. Works with product managers, users, and various stakeholders to define concepts, processes, and requirements. Produces the following deliverables: wireframes, mockups and prototypes; functional requirements documents; use cases and business process flows; UI Designs; requirements traceability matrixes; business case and decision memos; end user training guides and run books; work breakdown structures; critical path analysis; risk registers. Mandatory Qualifications: Analyzes an organization or business domain (real or hypothetical) and documents its business or processes or systems, assessing the business model or its integration with technology with distinct deliverables to a solution. 60-84 Months-Candidate is able to work independently, without assistance and provides guidance to others. May have an advanced education. Preferred Qualifications: 60 months experience as a business analyst on IT projects 36 months experience with private sector enterprises, well established consulting firms, and/or in the public sector at the federal, state or municipal government levels 48 months experience producing deliverables related to requirements definition, solution design, quality assurance and training 36 months experience with relational databases and Data Warehouse principles. 36 months experience developing and gaining acceptance for proposed solutions and business cases with senior-level technical and business leaders. 24 months experience with presenting and facilitating new concepts and systems to teams. 24 months experience with commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions, such as case mana   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
