Analyzes customer requirements and designs solutions to meet the customer objectives and balances the needs of sales and delivery to design a solution that meets or exceeds the requirements of service delivery. Role Responsibilities: -Develops complex Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse solutions to business problems or customer engagements through in-depth analysis, coordination and negotiation with key decision makers. -Uses expertise to construct specific and detailed solutions that encompass process, technology, project and staffing plans. -Plans, conducts and manages assignments generally involving large, high budgets (cross-functional) projects or more than one project. -Serves as technical consultant to senior leadership in the IT organization and functional user groups. -Drives changes in architecture, methodology or programming procedures -Composes applicable services agreements (e.g. Statements of Work, SLA documentation, etc) that specify processes, technology, staffing, deliverables, commitments, risk, and project management aspects of a solution. -Serves as a services subject matter expert to both internal and external customers. -Follows all organizational standard operating procedures relative to cost modeling, approvals and reviews, and all other associated workflow, documentation and deliverables. -Participates in applicable win-loss reviews and incorporates learnings into future solutions -Prepares flow charts and systems diagrams to assist in problem analysis. -Responsible for preparing design documentation. -Evaluates and recommends software and hardware solutions to meet user needs. -Interacts with business users and I/T to define current and future application requirements -Decisions are strategic in nature, have long-term consequence, and tend to relate to business strategy, financial performance and effective resource utilization. -Develops standards around which others will operate. -Advises and councils key leadership on the latest principles, practices, and/or technologies and their practical application -Drives end to end Project delivery including business analysis, Data Model, Solution Design, Development and Deployment -Prepares Solution Architecture Document including Current, Future State Process diagrams Deep understanding of industry trends and ability to apply some of them for internal Projects Requirements: 10+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience in business intelligence and data warehousing Expert data modeling skills (i.e. conceptual, logical and physical model design, experience with Operation Data Stores, Enterprise Data Warehouses and Data Marts Expert knowledge of Teradata Implementation experience with ETL concepts and tools such as: Informatica, DataStage, and ab Initio Implementation experience with one or more of the following BI/Enterprise Reporting tools: Business Objects, Cognos, Brio, and Microstrategy Possess strong communication and client management skills.
