Responsibilities Mandatory: We need someone who can debug Linux systems for root cause Analysis than just testing . Also would be nice if he can do bit of C and C++ coding . Needs more experience with debugging techniques , system knowledge and C++. 30% Travel will be required. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic engineer with a broad skill set associated with the installation, debugging, management and support of hardware and software solutions, to travel and work across North America. Job description: Manage the first line technical interaction with customers, either on-site or remotely; Need to debug Linux based systems for root cause analysis It would be nice if can do little bit of C/C++ coding and understand the system. Work with customers in the Courier industry Work with engineering and cross functional teams to resolve customer system issues and engineering issues that may involve third party hardware, software and system solutions; Conduct training sessions and demonstrations for new products and services at customer and distributor sites; Provide installation service and customer support during field visits Manage all on site deployment and test tasks Diagnose errors or technical problems that may occur during the installation process and, with appropriate escalation support, determine proper solutions Collaborate with Product Development teams and share information across the organization May install OS and/or upgrade software and firmware, Test hardware and connectivity across devices/solutions Document and report learning, and insights gained from working directly with customers on the technical side and feedback those insights into recommendations for future deployment strategy and engineering attention; Build positive relationships with customers Take customers on a technical journey from evaluation and exploration to integration and production Languages Must have English Native or bilingual proficiency Experience required Experience setting up hardware and installing, configure software, drivers and troubleshooting at customer sites Experience with Command line, Ubuntu, Git, powerpoint, and basic networking Working knowledge of Linux and C/C++ Understanding of embedded systems, firmware, drivers, OS, applications and their interaction that can cause system issues. Preferred - Ability to debug at system level involving hardware as well as firmware/software issues. Previous AE/FAE/support Engineer experience in Automotive industry would be ideal Demonstrated analytical and system troubleshooting skills Strong communication and social skills for working with Product development teams, Customers and executives. Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English Ability to travel 30% of the time to customer location within US.
