Job Description Developer: C, Cobol Developer, Transfer/Transition Experience,

Sr. Developer/Coder needed - C & Cobol; Tandem (TAL) highly preferred
Client: First Data
This will be 6 month + contract position located in Atlanta, GA. Atlanta, GA

The Buypass Front End Authorization system is an 24x7 online authorization platform for Debit, Credit, and Proprietary Fleet (gas stations) transactions. This system processes various types of card transactions such as purchase, activation, balance inquiry, load, reversal, etc. The application is developed in TAL (Transaction Application Language), C, and COBOL languages. Currently First Data is moving to C platform, however, much of the current code is written in TAL. In addition, this person will responsible for the entire lifecycle including involvement in design, coding, testing and implementation of changes required.

Requirements:
Must have strong C and Cobol coding skills
TAL experience is highly preferred
Experience working in high redundancy & high impact front end switching/high availability environment (50M transactions/day through system).
Must have prior experience in a high payment transaction environment.
Availability to be on call as needed.
Communication Skills - need 8/10 since primary focus is heads-down, heavy development/coding
