This engineer will join the NPI team at Arista. He/She will be working with the mechanical design team to collect feedback from suppliers to do DFM (design for Manufacturing). Must Have: Hands on experience in a factory (sheet metal) so they can ausit and improve design and manufacturing processes. Experience with CAD and ProEngineer Degree in Mechanical or industrial Engineering. Understanding of DFx (Design for ***) DFC, DFQ, DFM, DFR, DFT--production fixturing, inspection processes, and overall manufacturing quality control. Personallity Good communication, takes ownership, great communication and takes initiative. Expertise in networking products related to routing, switching and data centers. Knowledge of packaging materials and processes. D2D: The Mechanical Engineer will join the NPI (New product introduction) team with a focus on mechanical design. He/She will be in charge of end to end development of the new product. He/She will be working with chassis, sheet metal, screws, fastening, drilling, etc.. They will work closely with the design team to make sure the design is correct as well as performing analysis on the enclosures. The main focus will be with sheet metal enclosures as well as plastic injections. They must be able to take ownership and initiative as well as be able to communicate with multiple different teams. · Evaluate technical readiness prior to release. Deliver TR reviews with cross functional team. · Perform new product and sustaining engineering functions. · BOM risk assessment, grading and second sourcing. · Manufacturers PCN execution and coordination, provide analysis and qualification resources. · Interface/engage with Engineering, Platform Engineering, Marketing, TAC and CM Partners.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
