Candidate must be local : Yes Job Description : FULL JOB TITLE GitHub Support Engineer JOB SUMMARY (a general overview of what the person in this role is responsible for) The GitHub Support Engineer will be responsible for working with end users to resolve issues with GitHub usage. This will involve helping users configure their IDEs, Git Clients, and helping them learn how to use the UI for all functionality within GitHub Cloud. The job will also involve helping end users onboard several CICD tools. This person should be able to work independently with the end users and with the rest of the CICD Support staff to resolve issues and/or educate end user. . RESPONSIBILITIES · Work with End Users to get their Accounts Setup · Work with End Users to get their Development IDEs integrated. · Work with End Users to get their git CLI configured. · Work with End Users to resolve issues that the users are having with managing source code via the UI. · Work with the CICD Support team to automation and optimize the resolution of common issues. · To triage and define in detail complex issues to be worked with Level 3 support · Create documentation for common issues so that other users can resolve the issue independently. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS (in bulleted format) · Detailed understanding of how developers use source code management tools within a standard SDLC. · General understanding of CI/CD components and functions. · General understanding of GitFlow or similar source code management flow. · Some experience with using Maven · Some knowledge of Bash/Powershell scripting · Experience with the Eclipse or IntelliJ IDE · Effective team player · Strong interpersonal, and customer service skills · Strong written and verbal communication skills   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
